The Sensory Hive began as a seed of an idea back in 2017 and has since blossomed into a thriving organisation providing valuable therapeutic and educational services for the disabled community across Merseyside and beyond.
I’m Hayley, teacher and Managing Director of The Sensory Hive. I'm mum to two neurodivergent daughters, and I have recently been diagnosed with ADHD myself.
Both of my daughters have autism, and my youngest (pictured above) also has ADHD and a learning disability.
Through my own lived experience, I understand how sensory differences can profoundly impact individuals and their families.
Our busy, chaotic world often leaves us feeling overwhelmed and isolated, with few safe, accessible spaces for sensory-sensitive and sensory-seeking children, young people, and adults.
In creating The Sensory Hive, we have paved the way in offering a first of its kind, specialist Sensory Integration Therapy Centre.Based in Whiston, Knowsley, our state-of-the-art facility is a vibrant hive of activity.

It features a custom-designed sensory gym with a mezzanine level, a fully immersive and interactive sensory room, and a dedicated Sensory Integration suite built to meet Ayres Sensory Integration® fidelity standards.
Our brilliant and wonderfully diverse community has a range of care needs, neurodivergences, Learning Disabilities, and conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injury, Down Syndrome, and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
